The Business Liquidation Challenge You're Facing

When you are closing a business, upgrading equipment, exiting a lease, or restructuring, traditional liquidators offer fast cash at devastating discounts — often 10 to 20 cents on the dollar. Banks pressure you for resolution. Landlords pressure you to vacate. Meanwhile, valuable assets depreciate daily while you absorb storage and security costs.

Business owners across Dallas-Fort Worth deserve a better option: a licensed, professional auction process that creates competition among qualified buyers and turns liquidation pressure into maximum recovery.

How Strickland Auctioneers Helps DFW Solve It

Strickland Auctioneers operates the competitive auction process the way it was designed to work — with strategic marketing, a vetted buyer network, transparent reporting, and a Texas-licensed auctioneer (Jacob Strickland, TX LIC #18533) personally managing every engagement. We handle the entire process from initial valuation through final asset removal, so you stay focused on your next chapter while we maximize the recovery on the last one.

Most liquidators give you a single take-it-or-leave-it offer. We give you a transparent process, a marketed buyer pool, and competitive bidding that reliably outperforms direct liquidation by 40 to 60 percent.

Why business owners across Dallas-Fort Worth choose Strickland over traditional liquidators:

Texas Licensed and Bonded

Every auction is conducted by Jacob Strickland, a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation licensed auctioneer (#18533) and a member in good standing of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) and the Texas Auctioneers Association (TAA).

Industry-Specific Expertise

Restaurant assets sell differently than medical equipment. Industrial CNC machines reach a different buyer than salon chairs. We tailor every auction's marketing, lot structure, and timing to the specific industry — which is why we have nine dedicated industry pages, not one generic process.

Competitive Bidding, Not Lowball Offers

Liquidators profit by paying you less. We profit when you earn more. Our commission structure aligns with your recovery — there is no upside for us to under-sell your assets.

Complete Turnkey Service

One call covers valuation, marketing, auction execution, cataloging, payment processing, asset removal, and reporting. You will not coordinate multiple vendors

Frequently Asked Questions

Get clear answers to the most common business liquidation questions. If you have additional questions, our specialists are available for confidential consultation:

How much more can I expect from a business liquidation auction versus a traditional liquidator in Dallas-Fort Worth?

Strickland Auctioneers typically achieves 40-60% more than traditional liquidators through competitive bidding. While results vary based on asset type and condition, our auction format consistently outperforms direct liquidation sales. We provide realistic estimates during our free valuation

How quickly can you liquidate my business assets in DFW?

Most business liquidations are completed within 30 days from initial consultation to final asset removal. For urgent situations such as lease deadlines, court-ordered timelines, or fast closures, we can accelerate the process. We confirm specific timing during the initial evaluation

What types of businesses do you liquidate in Dallas-Fort Worth?

We liquidate restaurants, retail stores, medical and dental offices, gyms, fitness centers, salons, spas, professional offices, corporate facilities, construction operations, industrial shops, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and amusement and family entertainment centers. We handle single-location businesses through multi-site operations.

Do you handle partial business liquidations or only complete closures?

Both. We handle complete closures, partial downsizing, equipment upgrades, surplus inventory sell-offs, and FF&E-only liquidations. We customize the auction scope to match your actual need rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all approach.

What are your fees for business liquidation services?

Strickland Auctioneers works on a competitive commission basis with no upfront costs. We only succeed when you achieve maximum recovery. Commission rates depend on the scope, asset mix, and total value of your liquidation, and are clearly stated in your service agreement before any work begins.

What is the difference between an auction and a traditional liquidator buyout?

A traditional liquidator buys your assets directly at a deep discount — usually 10 to 25 percent of fair market value — and resells them for profit. An auction creates competitive bidding among multiple buyers, with the seller (you) retaining ownership until the gavel falls. The result is consistently higher returns and full transparency on what each asset sold for.

Do I need to be on-site during the business liquidation auction?

No. Most auctions are done online to maximize the reach to buyers, however as a Licensed TX Auctioneers (#18533) we do have the option of conducting a live auction on-site when requested or if the method is best. Owners are welcome to attend, and be present during the live auction and load-out periods, but it isn't required. Our licensed auctioneer and auction team manage everything from preview through load-out. You will receive real-time updates and a detailed settlement report after the auction closes.

How do you market a business liquidation auction in DFW?

Every auction is marketed across our targeted buyer database, industry-specific trade publications, paid social campaigns, email lists, online auction platforms, and DFW-area trade networks. Industrial auctions reach industrial buyers; restaurant auctions reach restaurant buyers. Generic marketing produces generic results and we do not do generic.

What happens to assets that do not sell at auction?

Our sell-through rate is consistently above 95 percent because we price and position lots strategically. For any remaining items, we coordinate a clean-out, donation, or post-auction private sale — your facility is left empty and ready for handoff.

Do you handle bankruptcy, receivership, or court-ordered liquidations in Texas?

Yes. We work with attorneys, trustees, receivers, and secured creditors on bankruptcy auctions, foreclosure auctions, and court-ordered liquidations in Texas. We coordinate UCC-1 lien searches, secured-party notifications, and chain-of-custody documentation as required.

Can you provide a Professional Appraisal in addition to a free Asset Evaluation?

Yes. The initial Asset Evaluation is provided at no charge for clients who engage Strickland Auctioneers for the liquidation. Standalone Professional Appraisals — for  business valuation purposes are available at a separate hourly rate, with a written appraisal report delivered upon completion.

Are you licensed to conduct business liquidation auctions in Texas?

Yes. Jacob Strickland is licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR Auctioneer License #18533) and is a member in good standing of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) and the Texas Auctioneers Association (TAA).
