This past week, we packed up and headed south to League City, Texas for the 2026 Texas Auctioneers Association Convention at the South Shore Harbour Resort & Conference Center. A few days near Houston and the Galveston coast, surrounded by the best auction professionals in the state. We came home sharper, more connected, and more motivated than when we left.

One of the highlights of the week was sitting in classes taught by two 2025 International Auctioneer Champions. Tanner Roberts, the Men's Division Champion, and Abbey Schmid, the 2025 Women's Division IAC Champion. Both were exactly what you'd hope a champion would be: incredibly knowledgeable, genuinely kind, and elite at the craft. The kind of people who make everyone in the room better just by being there.
The lesson they reinforced is simple, and it's one we believe in: if you want to be a champion, you surround yourself with champions. That mindset is exactly why we keep showing up to learn from the best the industry has.
